This is one of our Texas kitchens.  It is a Mission style kitchen, built from solid maple with a light antiqued stain.  The millwork atop these cabinets is a large single crown moulding application designed to match the crown already in the kitchen.  Usually our custom cabinets are built to have a lot of flair, showcasing our clients' style with beautiful centerpieces filled with architectural millwork and one of a kind cabinetry.  This kitchen was designed to have all of the amenities of state of the art cabinetry while keeping the appearance of a quaint country kitchen.

The oven/microwave cabinet was built to look like a combo unit, however they are separate appliances.  The combo units have a higher risk of having mechanical errors and once one of the units are down, both units are usually inoperable.  These appliances were designed to be higher than standard height.  Our client wanted the microwave to be at eye level so that the oven would be more accessible.  This left a lot of room under both appliances for a large storage drawer.

The island is topped with African Walnut from an old table brought back from Africa.  We disassembled the table and completely refinished it for the island countertop. The island cabinets are stained an olive green to contrast with the rustic kitchen cabinets.  The front of the island has cabinets for storage while the back of the island is recessed for seating.

The vent hood is built to match the Mission style cabinetry and ducted through the wall.  It has a medallion of the Texas State Seal milled into its face to match the Lone Star theme found throughout the home.
